I joined The UCM in 1969 shortly after our Parish Foundation in Northwood was opened. I became the second Foundation President and have served two further terms since. On the Westminster Diocesan Committee I served as Magazine Secretary, Minutes Secretary, Diocesan Secretary (twice) and Diocesan President. In 2006 I was asked to let my name go forward for the position of Public Service Officer and I was appointed to the post at National Council that year. It is a most interesting job, covering particularly legislation and other matters which may affect marriage and the family.
