Elizabeth Tindley

I endeavour to provide encouragement and guidance to Diocesan Welfare Officers. I collate the Diocesan Reports for National Committee and take any problems, which may arise, to discuss with them. I am The UCM member of Caritas and attend seminars on the care of the elderly. I participate in the Social & Employment group of the National Council of Women and join in the Affiliates’ forums. I attend and receive information on Housing Justice (President – Cardinal Murphy O’Connor) working to counter homelessness, and Chaste - another interdenominational group - which lobbies against sexual trafficking. This is our theme for our study/welfare conference this year. I find it most valuable to meet with the many other diverse groups with the same ideals in these associations. Reports on all these issues are given to National Committee and Council.
Previously I have been President of Southwark Archdiocese and my Foundation. I have been active in recruiting new members and establishing new Foundations in Southwark.
